What to Eat to Lower Blood Sugar

In many a country million s of people suffer from diabetes, an affliction that has become common among even the newborns! Most of these afflicted people suffer from a disease called type II diabetes, which unlike type I diabetes can be easily controlled. The major thing about the control of diabetes related disorders is the awareness necessary among the masses. If people are not aware of the consequences or solutions for this disorder, then it may assume even greater proportions. The main symptom, one can even go on to say the consequence, of diabetes is the elevated blood sugar levels.


It is imperative that lowering the blood sugar is foremost among most diabetics because only then complete harmony be achieved in efficiently processing the functions of the human body. One important suggestion is to restrict the intake of foods that are rich in either sugar, fat or other sodium related substances. But by doing this, only elevation of blood sugar levels can be made. To lower the blood sugar levels, primarily, intake of food such as fresh fruits, low carbohydrate oriented foods are advisable. Recommended fruits are apples, grape fruits, avocados, jack fruits, cherries etc. since these fruits help in breaking down the excess sugar molecules formed in the body, they tend to use up all the excess sugar molecules and store them away safely for processing into energy.


Vegetables such as spinach, onions, garlic, peas, collard greens, lettuce, peppers, carrots also deserve a mention as prime forces in reducing blood sugar levels. Apart from these, exercises play a leading role as the terminator of the excess sugar cellulose molecules formed by diabetes. Lately, some herbal medicines from the Andes, have been identified as potential solutions. But in general, there are many herbs already in existence that have a well known backing and following.
